What should I bring to the retreat?

Sewing machine, essential notions (scissors, pins, seam ripper, rulers, etc.), thread, fabric and patterns. Toiletries and clothes for your stay. Phone charger, medications (if needed)

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Can I bring my pets or children to the center?

No, guests are asked to leave their "furry" family members at home, as the center is reserved for individuals aged 18 and over. Additionally, no outside visitors are permitted during your stay unless prior permission is granted.

What is the policy on smoking?

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the building. Smoking is allowed outside; however, you must properly dispose of all cigarette butts to maintain this privilege.

Is the retreat center responsible for my belongings or injuries?

No, the "house" does not take responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or damage to your personal property.

Are there specific instructions for using the restrooms?

Yes, you must not flush anything down the toilet except for toilet paper. Wastebaskets are provided in the bathrooms for all other items.

What happens if something in the building gets broken?

The responsible party will be held accountable for any obvious property damage that goes beyond normal wear and tear.

What amenities are provided in the kitchen and bathrooms?

Bathrooms and shower rooms are fully stocked, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for meal preparation. While a coffee pot, filters, and a Keurig are provided, you must bring your own food, coffee, and pods.

Do I need to change my own bed sheets?

Extra sheets and blankets are available in each bedroom if you need them during your stay. However, staff will handle changing the bedding upon your departure.

What features does each workstation include?

Each individual workstation consists of a 6-foot table, individual lighting, and extra power outlets. If more space is required and room permits, a few small tables may also be available

Are specialized crafting tools available on-site?

Yes, the center provides irons, distilled water, and cutting mats. Please note that ironing boards are covered with wool mats, which may omit a slight "wool smell" when in use.

What should I do if the smoke alarm goes off while I am cooking?

You should be extremely careful not to burn items on the stove, as the fire department is automatically dispatched when alarms are triggered. You will be shown how to disengage the alarms upon your arrival.

Do I need to strip the bed or wash the sheets before I leave?

No, there is no need to make the beds or pull the sheets on your final day. The staff will strip all bedding and replace them with clean ones.

Where should I put my used towels?

You can leave dirty towels in the laundry baskets provided in the bedrooms, or you may choose to place them directly in the laundry room.

What are my cleaning responsibilities for the kitchen?

We ask that you leave the kitchen area tidy. This includes wiping down the counters and tables, and ensuring all dishes are washed in the dishwasher and put away.

What safety checks are required for the outdoor areas?

Please ensure that the fire pit and/or the grill are completely extinguished before you depart.

What happens if I accidentally leave a personal item behind?

While we ask that you check everywhere to ensure nothing is left behind, the center will contact someone from your group if any items are found.

Is there a safety check for the workstations?

Yes, please be sure that all irons are unplugged before you leave the center.

Where do I dispose of my trash and recycling?

There are blue bins for recycling and brown bins for trash and garbage. These are located on the southeast side of the front porch.
